Landlords Still Confused regards HMO Locks.

Attended a Marchmont flat this morning to fit a new “Thumbturn” HMO lock. Thankfully the landlord had taken the time to phone me to ask my advice. He was somewhat more than confused by the information he had received from Edinburgh Council HMO Licensing. They had told him to fit a “5 Lever Thumbturn Deadlock” (????) They had even kindly written it down for him. To the best of my knowledge such a beast does not exist.

Well that’s us back to normal for a wee while then. Jubilee celebrations are finished and we are back at the grind stone! We were in fact still offering an emergency service over the festivities but to be honest it was pretty quite. Most of my regular customers were off on holiday from the Friday afternoon right through to this morning and most other people just assumed we were closed too ! Supposed to be installing a parking post this morning but it is raining, grey and miserable, so I think I will “post”-pone it !!
